Tiger of Sweden is a Stockholm-based fashion house established in 1903 with a heritage in tailoring. For more than a century Tiger of Sweden has stood for style with purpose, dressing men and women for whom true style is about the confidence to be themselves. 

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

We are looking for an ambitious design assistant to join our creative team in Stockholm. The position is cross disciplinary working across mens and womens RTW including accessories providing support to the designers and department heads. 

We seek someone with a deep understanding of modern fashion and style, with an international viewpoint. A keen understanding of proportions, measurements and garment finishing related to a tailoring fashion and ideally someone that has experience with the entire creative process from idea to product. 

The right candidate will have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; be a strong communicator;driven and inspirational. Self-motivated, diligent and organized with the ability to prioritize workload, juggle tasks and meet deadlines.

Attention to detail is critical, ensuring complete accuracy in all tasks. Knowledge and passion for fashion and products in relevant market sector category; 

We are looking for someone with 'fashion sensibility' - knowledge of trends, the market, consumer and peer awareness. It is essential to be a team player with a positive and problem-solving attitude as you will be working with a range of designers, pattern makers and Product development specialists. It is also important to arrive with openness to working with a wide variety of product types.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Prepare design tech-packs and range overviews.

Help prepare for seasonal product and design review meetings.

Upload CADS to PLM system.

Helping develop new shapes by exploring form and making mockups/ toiles, supporting the needs of the design team.

Detailled research throughout the collection creation process.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: 

Degree in Design, Textiles or equivalent required.

Excellent languages skills, fluently in English required.

Fluent in Microsoft Office and Adobe creative suite, with advanced proficiency in CAD sketching a necessity. 

An understanding of garment and product construction. 

Strong skills in draping on the stand and toiling shapes.

Capable of hand and machine sewing in order to make internal mockups.

Confident free hand sketching and illustration.

Experience using Clo-3d is a plus.

• Adobe Creative Suite – emphasis on Illustrator and Photoshop.
