As an Accountant at Tiger of Sweden, you will work broadly within accounting — handling everything from daily bookkeeping, monthly closings, and VAT reporting to supporting the accounts payable and receivable processes. Depending on your experience, you may also take part in preparing year-end closings and annual reports. You will be responsible for the accounting of several legal entities within the group.
The Finance Department has undergone exciting developments during the past year, and you will play an important role in strengthening and optimising our accounting processes. You will report to the Head of Accounting and be based at our Head Office in central Stockholm.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Accounting
Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger accounting for multiple legal entities within the group.
Perform reconciliations and manage monthly closings.
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Participate in preparing year-end closings and annual reports.
Tax and Compliance
Manage VAT reporting and compliance.
Support internal and external audits.
Inventory Accounting
Maintain accurate inventory accounting and related reconciliations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Support
Provide operational support within the AP and AR processes.
Ensure high accuracy and efficiency in invoice management and payment routines.
Process Improvement
Contribute to developing and streamlining routines and processes within the finance function.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure continuous improvement and accuracy in reporting.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Several years of experience as an Accountant, independently managing monthly closings.
Solid knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong interest in processes, systems, and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Excellent skills in Excel.
Experience from retail, international companies, or inventory accounting is highly meritorious.
Structured, detail-oriented, and analytical with a strong sense for numbers.
Proactive, solution-oriented, and responsible with a collaborative and humble attitude.
A true team player who enjoys working in an agile and evolving environment.
TOOLS & SYSTEMS
If there is any required/desirable competence regarding specific tools and/or systems for the candidate, add that info here. Most applicable for software or design roles.
Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
ERP systems (experience from large or international environments is an advantage).
